Eric Vassall

Eric and his family have been at Milestone from the very beginning when we were just a small group meeting at the Cole Rec Center. Over the last 2.5 years, Eric has been serving faithfully in multiple areas of the church. From the set up team when we were portable, to now overseeing all of our Host Team each week at our Natick campus. Most weekends you will find him at the doors of the worship center greeting and ensuring that everything is running smoothly. His wife Jessica serves on the Hospitality Team and has previously helped with Milestone Kids.

Eric and Jessica have been married for over 12 years and have 4 children (Maya, Jayel, Marlee, & Gabriella). They have lived in Framingham for over 12 years. Both Eric and Jessica work at New Balance in Boston. Eric is an SBU Manager and Jessica works in their marketing department as a marketing manager. In their free time, they enjoy camping, running, and traveling. Jessica is also an active field hockey player!

Over the last 9 months, Eric has spent time with our current Elders walking through the qualifications and expectations of an Elder. The qualifications for Elders at Milestone can be found listed in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9. In addition to the minimum qualifications given in Scripture, Elders must be members who fully subscribe to our Church’s Articles of Faith and are actively involved in the ministry of the Church.

After 9 months of prayer, discipleship, and building a relationship with Eric and his family, the Elders at Milestone are presenting Eric to our members to be affirmed as our next Elder. If affirmed, Eric will continue to work at New Balance and be serving as a lay Elder. Although Eric will not be employed by Milestone, it does not make him any less of an Elder than those who are employed by the church. He will hold the same authority as other Elders and be involved in all the future decision-making of the church.
